Orientation & Information Manager (M/F/X) – Humanitarian Hub Brussels

Coordinate information access and social orientation at the Brussels Humanitarian Hub. Doctors of the World is hiring an Orientation Manager. Apply by February 8, 2026.

Job Title: Orientation & Information Manager

Organization: Doctors of the World – Belgium (Humanitarian Hub Consortium)

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Contract Type: Permanent Contract (CDI) – Full Time (39h/week)

Closing Date: 8 February 2026 Start Date: March 2026

Context and Scope

The Humanitarian Hub is a unique frontline reception center in Brussels. Coordinated by a consortium including Doctors of the World, the Belgian Red Cross, and BelRefugees, it offers a safe space and multidisciplinary care to migrants whose access to fundamental rights is compromised.

In this context, we are seeking an Orientation & Information Manager. This is a pivotal role: you will serve as the technical focal point ensuring that every visitor receives clear information and relevant social orientation within our network of 14 partner services.

The Mission

Under the supervision of the Hub Coordination, your primary mandate is to structure, harmonize, and supervise orientation processes. You will not merely provide orientation; you will build the system that enables teams (staff and volunteers) to do so effectively.

You will work in close collaboration with the Partnerships Manager to ensure a seamless flow between needs identified on the ground and the services available in the Brussels network.

Key Responsibilities

Information Management & Social Monitoring

  • Maintain continuous monitoring of the evolving social and non-profit landscape in Brussels.
  • Proactively update the Hub’s “Social Guide” (access criteria, schedules, contacts) and disseminate these updates to operational teams in real-time.
  • Guarantee that all information delivered to visitors is reliable, accessible, and up-to-date.

Orientation Tools & Processes

  • Design and deploy a standardized tool for the pre-identification of vulnerabilities to harmonize social diagnosis at the Hub’s entry point.
  • Develop signage and information materials (digital and physical) intended for visitors.
  • Train and support multidisciplinary teams on the correct use of these tools and best practices for reception.

Technical Support & Coordination

  • Act as the technical lead for all complex questions related to orientation.
  • Advise Team Leaders to ensure alignment between observed needs and proposed solutions.
  • Co-facilitate collective information sessions for visitors in collaboration with the Community Engagement unit.

Analysis & Quality Assurance (MEAL)

  • Monitor the quality of orientation pathways and identify breaking points or unmet needs.
  • Analyze orientation data to escalate structural gaps to the Coordination and Partnerships Manager.
  • Oversee budget tracking for the fund dedicated to visitor transport.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a professional capable of combining structural vision with operational reality.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Social Sciences, Public Health, etc.).
  • Proven experience in frontline social orientation with vulnerable populations.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Brussels non-profit and institutional landscape (asylum, migration, social aid).
  • Prior experience in training or supporting teams is a major asset.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to design clear procedures and operational tools.
  • Excellent command of French (written and oral). A good command of English is required.
  • Aptitude for working in a complex, multi-actor, and occasionally high-pressure environment.
  • Impeccable professional posture: neutrality, non-discrimination, and respect for confidentiality.

What We Offer

  • Impact: A central function at the heart of the humanitarian response in Brussels.
  • Contract: Full-time permanent contract.
  • Salary: Based on the MdM salary scale (e.g., €3,563.79 gross for 3 years of experience; €3,708.50 gross for 7 years).
  • Benefits: Meal vouchers (€8), hospitalization insurance, 100% reimbursement of public transport, generous leave package (20 legal days + 6 RTT + 4 extra-legal days).
